WING CHUN
Wing Chun was the style studied by the late Bruce Lee and is now the most popular system practiced in Hong Kong.
The art of Wing Chun does not rely on physical strength but more on logical solutions and skill. Allowing students of any age or any physical ability to study.
A very effective short-range system, every movement made is for practical reasons therefore utilising the principle of economy of motion. Keeping everything simple and direct, favouring linear techniques the theory being the quickest route is a straight line.
The techniques of Wing Chun both offensive and defensive follow the centre line theory. This is that through the centre line of the body both yourself and your opponent will take the full force of any offensive techniques executed.
Taking this theory into account the practitioner of Wing Chun must defend the centre line of the body, and also attack offensively towards your opponents centre line therefore maximising the attack with minimum effort.

SHAOLIN MANTIS
This style has its origins in the famous Shao-lin Temple, Henan Province Northern China dating back over 600 years, it is said to have been developed from 18 of the best styles of its era. Chat Sing Tong Long (Seven Star Praying Mantis) Kung Fu is a complex style comprising of many forms, which include:
-
Empty hand
-
Weapons skills
-
Two man weapons
-
Hey Gung (Breathing Skills)
Your forms are like a reference to your techniques. Application of your forms is at the forefront of our training. It is of no use to have nice looking techniques and not being able to apply them in real combat situations.
This is an in-depth system with much to learn physically, mentally and physiologically. Chat Sing Tong Long kung fu is a pure martial art and should not be considered a sport. The techniques you will learn should be practiced with the up most of responsibility and safety in mind. Sifu David Brown is one of only a handful of instructors residing in the UK representing Sifu Derek Frearson & Grandmaster Lee Kam Wing (Hong Kong/China).

Submission Kombat is our grappling and groundwork skills; currently it is integrated into the MMA classes. This system of combat will cover all aspects from primal reflex to clinch through to ground fighting. The curriculum will contain aspects from traditional wrestling & grappling styles such as Shuai Jiao, Greco Roman, Catch, Sambo, Judo, BJJ as well as integration of Police Defensive Tactics & Military Combative Programs, this will be delivered through our unique methodology and concepts.
Our curriculum is extensive allowing for this to be integrated into current skill sets or as a standalone defensive system.
Although we are not a competition based club, we do have fighters that compete with excellent results.
We are very happy to train complete beginners and these are great classes for fitness and strength of mind!

CHINESEKICKBOXING (SAN SHOU)
Sanshou (Chinese Kickboxing) of modern day has extensive variations of technique; each school of Chinese Martial Arts puts their individual stamp on the type of techniques incorporated. As an unarmed self-defense, close quarter combat system, Sanshou includes Toy (kicks), Da (punches), Shuai (throws), and Na (locks).
In modern times it has been used as a primary training skill for the Chinese Army, as well as the development as a sport competing in various tournaments including Muay Thai, K1 and MMA. One of the latest stars of the sport is Cung Le, Strikeforce Middleweight Champion after beating Frank Shamrock.
These classes are open to all abilities and are excellent for developing your fitness as well as learning new skills

COMBATENIGMA
This is a multi dimensional system with an extensive curriculum. It is a reality based system as with all the training programs we run, but this is unique in its approach, in that it is based on the science behind the combat. Our aim is to develop knowledge of the physiological, psychological and emotions as they relate to conflict and combat.
The thought process and methodology may be new but the techniques held within the concepts have been tried and tested in real life encounters.
After studying martial arts worldwide as well as front line experience of many combative situations, I have now come to teach my own life's work. This is an ever evolving system and not the quick fix that is often sold as reality based. At its base line it is an effective and aggressive self-defense system, but more than that it is a martial art with strong roots and a depth of knowledge backing up every element of Close Quarters Combat.
